THE LONG-AWAITED CONCLUSION TO THE CLASSIC CANADIAN TRILOGY - ANNE OF GREEN GABLES: THE CONTINUING STORY MARCH 5th AND 6th ON CBC-TV.

After a decade of anticipation, one of the most eagerly awaited television events of the season is set to air.
ANNE OF GREEN GABLES: THE CONTINUING STORY, the final installment in the Anne of Green Gables
trilogy, will air Sunday, March 5 and Monday, March 6 from 8 to 10 p.m. on CBC-TV.

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES: THE CONTINUING STORY stars Megan Follows, who reprises her acclaimed role as the irrepressible Anne Shirley.
The storyline is set from 1914 to 1918, five years after the events that took
place in Anne of Green Gables ? The Sequel.

When Anne returns to Avonlea for the first time since Marilla Cuthbert's death, she discovers that her fiancé Gilbert
Blythe (Jonathan Crombie) has accepted a staff position at a New York hospital. He persuades Anne to join him,
telling her he has arranged a meeting for her at a large publishing house. But their hopes for success in the big city
are dashed when Anne's manuscript is stolen by the American pulp fiction writer Jack Garrison, Jr. (Cameron Daddo)
and Gilbert becomes frustrated with the politics of working in a large city hospital.

They return to Avonlea to be married and plan a happy life in the quiet world from which Anne has always gained security. However, upon their arrival, they find themselves catapulted into the chaos of WWI. Gilbert feels obliged to join the army as a surgeon. After two years he is listed as missing in action and a heartbroken Anne sets out across the Atlantic to search for Gil on the battlefields of France. She encounters Jack Garrison again who leads her into a web of intrigue and danger as the war concludes.

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES: THE CONTINUING STORY is being brought
to the screen by Kevin Sullivan, who created the original Emmy award-winning
mini-series Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Green Gables? The Sequel. Broadcasters and audiences around the world have sought out Sullivan Entertainment to make another film about Anne of years. With more than a decade having passed since the release of Anne of Green Gables ? The Sequel, Sullivan decided it was time. "The sequel left the story incomplete," he says. "In this film Anne's life comes full circle as she learns to find happiness within herself apart from the security of Green Gables and as an adult learns about the process of self-sacrifice."

Reprising their roles from the first two mini-series are Jonathan Crombie (Gilbert Blythe), Schulyer
Grant (Diana Barry), Patricia Hamilton (Rachel Lynde), Rosemary Radcliffe (Mrs. Barry) and Miranda
de Pencier (Josie Pye). Also appearing are Janet Laine Green, Martha Henry, Barry Morse, Nigel
Bennett and Shannon Lawson.

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES: THE CONTINUING STORY is a Sullivan Entertainment presentation of
Anne III Productions Inc. produced in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The
two-part, four-hour mini-series is directed by Stefan Scaini and written by Kevin Sullivan and Laurie
Pearson. Executive producers are Kevin Sullivan and Trudy Grant.
