Sometimes all people need is a second chance. TWICE IN A LIFETIME returns to CTV with Ontario native Paul Popowich starring as this season's heavenly guide, Mr. Smith. Each week, Mr. Smith pleads the case for each soul before celestial guardian Judge Othniel (Al Waxman).

TWICE IN A LIFETIME taps into a universal fantasy: to be given a second chance to fix an error of the past. Each episode features a guest star (Ralph Macchio, Markie Post, and Lesley Ann Warren to name a few) playing a flawed person who dies suddenly

The jaded person is given the chance to return to earth at the time he or she went astray. Guided by Mr. Smith, the person has three days to cajole, manipulate and coerce their younger self to avoid making the same mistake. By changing history, the person can alter their own future as well as course of other lives affected by them. It's not as easy as it first appears because the character must overcome deep biases and flaws. Mr. Smith, who doesn't remember his own life and death on earth, struggles to make sense of human nature and to unravel the mysteries of the universe. By guiding others, he hopes to earn his own chance to live TWICE IN A LIFETIME.

The series is produced by Pebblehut Productions, a Muse Entertainment company.
